Protect your hands during kipping pull ups

When you first start doing kipping pull ups or a lot of gymnastic work on a bar, you may develop callouses or tears in your hands. This may also happen if you are in a competition or challenge (like the 12 Days of CrossFit) that require you to do a lot of workouts without much recovery. To help prevent this from happening, Mike is here to share a simple trick on how to make a gymnastic wrap you can use to protect your hands during pull ups.

1) Cut a piece of Zinc tape about 12-14″ long and fold it in half long ways.

2) Fold it in half to find the halfway point

3) Fold into a triangle around that middle fold (the triangle is where your middle finger will go).

4) Take another piece of tape and tape the two halves together leaving a hole at the top for your finger.

5) Test it by putting your middle finger through the middle across your palm.

6) Secure it by wrapping a piece of tape around your wrist and you’re good to go!

Enjoy!
